Although many newer cruise ships have more outlets and charging ports available, the ban may come as an inconvenience to travelers who bring along important travel devices, like phones, electric razors, cameras, tablets, e-readers, blow dryers and portable chargers.

A common workaround for too-few-outlets on Royal Caribbean ships is no longer permitted, as the prohibited items list is now much longer.
