Ahead of this week’s BMW PGA Championship in London, Rory McIlroy briefly touched on the PGA Tour’s pending deal with LIV Golf.

McIlroy has always been very outspoken about LIV Golf and the players who have joined the tour, though his stance has softened recently. He and defending Masters champion Scottie Scheffler are now taking on LIV stars Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Kopeka in the latest edition of “The Match” this December.

Rory McIlroy may not have been in attendance for the in-person meetings between the PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund last week in New York, but he still knows more than most when it comes to the slowly progressing potential deal between the tour and LIV Golf's financial backers.
