Israel's military said an airstrike on Beirut had killed Ibrahim Qubaisi, who it said was the commander of Hezbollah's missile and rocket force.

Lebanese officials say more than 490 people have been killed as Israel warns residents it's targeting Hezbollah weapons hidden in homes.

The Israeli military said on Tuesday it killed Hezbollah's rocket chief in a "targeted" strike on a Beirut suburb. The military said Ibrahim Qubaisi was responsible for rocket attacks on Israel and for attacks on civilians.
