Hosts South Africa pressed on for a first Women's T20 World Cup title, with key batter Laura Wolvaardt passing the half-century mark early in a chase of 157. As the right-hander was about to make a final charge, she was curtailed by Megan Schutt, returning at the death to stop the batter in her tracks.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the official event song for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024, titled 'Whatever It Takes.' The tournament will kick off from October 3.

The ICC released the official song for the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup titled 'Whatever It Takes,' performed by W.i.S.H. The anthem captures the spirit of the tournament, featuring a music video filled with iconic cricket moments and catchy choreography,

The official music video was also launched alongside the soundtrack, offering a cinematic preview of the tournament. It features highlight reels of iconic moments in women’s cricket and the choreography portrays the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 as the must-watch event of the year.

The Indian women's cricket team has never won the tournament before but with the men's team ending their world title drought earlier this year, Harmanpreet Kaur & Co. would also want to get the title which has eluded them with their best performance coming in the 2020 edition of the competition where they finished as the runners-up,

According to  pop culture magazine Rolling Stone, W.i.S.H. is "India’s first all-female major pop group in 22 years" . The four members of the group are Riya Duggal (Ri), Simran Duggal (Sim), Zoe Siddharth (Zo) and Suchita Shirke (Suchi).
