A player in his second year with the Arkansas football program who flashed potential as a true freshman, Metcalf primarily worked with the second-string defense during the spring. He flashed in the fall, but Metcalf wasn't confirmed as a starter until he trotted out onto the War Memorial Field for the first defensive snap of the season.

He finished the game 12-of-27 (44%) for just 151 yards and an interception. Those numbers must improve down the line, but Green also proved his athleticism and impact on Arkansas' running game will translate to the SEC.
