The Michelin Guide has revealed its new Michelin Key list. Seven Arizona hotels made the list, but only one is a highly coveted Three Key hotel. Seven Arizona hotels have earned a coveted Michelin Key distinction — including one that stood out above its competition.

Michelin’s U.S. key ratings, which were announced Sept. 13, came after the company expanded its hotel rankings.

Michelin Guide announced a second wave of best hotels in America receiving three key honors. Mexico and Canada are also new additions.

Four Nashville area hotels received Michelin Keys in the Michelin Guide’s second ever installment in the United States. Michelin Guide ranks hotels by one, two and three keys, judged off of five categories: design, service, character, value and “a significant contribution to the guest experience.”

The Ivy Hotel and the Sagamore Pendry Baltimore were among the Michelin Guide’s 2024 hotel recommendations. The listing bestows one, two or three “keys” for each recommended hotel, similar to its three-star system for restaurants.

Much like the rest of Newport, these four hotels each have distinct ties to the Gilded Age and the most prominent members of America’s high society.

A Finger Lakes hotel noted as "contemporary classic and quiet" recently received Michelin Guide recognition. The Inns of Aurora in Aurora received a One Key designation, which is considered "a very special stay," along with seven other upstate New York hotels and one on Long Island.

A Memphis hotel, along with six other Tennessee locations made Michelin's list of the best hotels in the United States.
